Sanitary and Storm Pump Stations
Installation of pump station facilities is part of the service provided by Kolb. These facilities design and build water/wastewater solutions. They are frequently used in tandem with reservoirs, rivers, and wells and serve as a valuable part of Kolb’s toolkit.
Cast in Place Structures
Typically, on-site cast-in-place constructions are produced due to their size or shape. Kolb Grading has worked on preparing many cast-in-place constructions, including the Lambert International Airport in St. Louis. As part of the 2002 airport development, the runways were dredged, requiring Kolb Grading to deal with heightened security measures.
Bridges and Tunnels
Many of our projects involve the construction of bridges or tunnels that are used for both transportation and water purposes. We have bridges and tunnels for railroads, airports, highways, utilities, and private projects, all thanks to pre-cast concrete structures, box culverts or design-build.
HDPE Pipe Installation
We have worked on HDPE pipeline installations in the utility industry. We have trained our welding crew on all areas of field joining of HDPE pipe and fittings, and they have all been qualified in all those aspects. Our concentrated field-based heat fusion capabilities:

Kolb Grading’s Vermeer T1255 was used to install HDPE pipeline on the Iowa Fertilizer project. The benefit of this highly specialized piece of equipment is that it performs multiple activities normally requiring additional machinery and manpower and is extremely useful in projects where blasting is not desirable. It works equally well in utility or energy large-diameter pipe installations or in deep sewer and water applications.
