Kolb’s Blasting Process

Our team works with you from start to finish on your project:

• Procuring an ATF license.
• Depending on the state, obtaining a manufacturer’s license and municipal license.
• Conducting a pre-blast inspection of the blasting site, as well as any business or residential buildings within 500 feet, via a third-party.
• Moving into and surveying the site.
• Building a GPS file for the drill to ensure accuracy, taking the guesswork out of the process by telling our team exactly what angle and how deep the hole should be, showing exactly what the finished project should look like.
• Beginning drilling.
  • Typically drilling lasts an entire day, and our team shoots at the end of the day. In an active site, however, we begin drilling in the morning, blast once at lunch when all other employees are off-site, drill again until end-of-day and blast once more then.
• Conducting post-blast inspections in the surrounding area via a third-party if necessary.
